About Us
“Blessed is the one who cares for the poor…”
– Psalm 41:1
‘Feed the People’ is a St Sophia and Three Daughters Parish initiative aimed at fulfilling our Christian calling to love our neighbour. Surrounded by poverty and vulnerability here in the hub of Sydney, we feel a strong desire to provide support to those less fortunate. This is our faith in action.
Our volunteers are regular people who desire to give back to their community and help their fellow person. From freshly cooked meals, tea & coffee, to clothing, personal hygiene products and other miscellaneous items that are donated, we are determined to provide to our patrons a service where their everyday needs can be met.

WHAT WE STAND FOR
Our Core Values

Faith
Drawing strength, guidance and inspiration from God in all that we do, Feed the People is an expression of our living faith — putting the love of Christ into action and sharing His light with all who come to us. “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

Family
There is no family like the Feed the People family. At all our stations we strive to create a place where everyone feels safe. A welcoming smile over a hot cup of coffee is only the beginning of the fellowship that our volunteers create with all our patrons.

Compassion
Each patron we come across is a child of God, worthy of kindness and understanding. Compassion means listening without judgment, offering comfort in times of need, and being present for others as Christ is present for us.

Dignity
Every individual deserves to be treated with honour and dignity. We are committed to creating an environment where every person feels respected, heard, cared for, supported, and welcomed without judgement, discrimination, or exclusion.

Generosity
We give freely of our time, resources, and hearts, knowing that everything we have is a gift from God. Generosity is more than an action — it is a joyful response to God’s abundant love and a reflection of His call to serve one another.

Service
We are committed to serving our community with humility and dedication. Through every meal prepared, conversation shared, and helping hand offered, we seek to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
